Title: long shot - Magnum Rocker Cover
Post by: M Kerr on 30 December 2013, 22:18:06
Hello All,

You never know... would anyone have an 1800 Magnum Rocker Cover that they might sell? :)

Contact KeithB via pm. He may be able to help. He runs the ABS shop and seems to know where to get a lot of old VX stuff - like a rear wheel bearing dust cover for a 1974 Ventora etc.  ;D
Failing that, keep an eye out for an old CF Bedford abandoned in a farmyard or similar. ;)

Thanks Allbitz,

I'll try Kieth.

Secretly (not) I'm fed up with the tin crap thats standard on the Bedford (another pet) and want to replace it with propper kit!

Thanks again,

Martin :y

Didn't all the single cam slant fours have a tin rocker cover ? I should know, but cant remember to be honest. :-[
Could always drop a twin cam in there. hey had beautiful cam covers.  :y ;D

The 1800 Magnum had a decent cover I think.  Certainly there's a cast alloy version that will do the job if I can find 1...

I can't believe what GM were thinking with the tin crap. maybe they had invested in oil shares or something! ;D

Nice images Albitz.  The covers that can be seen do look a bit tinny but I definately seen a cast version somewhere...

Only cast ones I remember were on the twin cam 16v engines, but I may well be wrong. My memory is notoriously shite.  ;D
