Title: NowTV - Movies & Entertainment - Android - Free Trial
Post by: tunnie on 07 January 2014, 13:12:07
Some of you may know, I work for NowTV, which is part of Sky. What is NowTV? Well it's a contract free service for Movies, Sports & Entertainment. Think of it as Lovefilm/Netflix but with far better content. (Star Trek - Into Darkness, Iron Man 3, ect) - It's essentially Sky Movies, Sports and Entertainment but under a different offering.

I work within the mobile teams, both iOS (Apple) and Android. We are currently testing a new version of our Android App, this will be released for all devices running 4.0 and above, including both tablets and mobiles. Currently this version is not in the Google Play store, so you would be some of the first to try it and feed back, we are partially after tablet users, to help us test. (Nexus 7, 10, Tabs, Hudl ect)

I'm looking to offer people a free 3 month trial, you will get unlimited access to Movies & Entertainment (sadly no Sports) on your Android device. All you need to do is offer some feed back via a Google communities page, post your comments, issues and suggestions to us.

You can see more about the service here: http://www.nowtv.com/movies (http://www.nowtv.com/movies)

To be eligible, you:

Interested? Well let me know  :)  :y

EDIT: Just to add, drop me a PM with a Google mail address you wish to use if interested. Thanks

What about a Galaxy Ace?

As above, if it's running >4.0 then yes, although it maybe a bit underpowered.

Thanks Andy, sorry should add rooted devices are not supported. (due to our content providers specifying it)

There is a standard 4 device limit per customer, with one permitted change once a month. Supporting up to 2 consecutive streams, so you can use it on a couple of your devices.

So PM me a gmail addy linked to a Google+ you want to use and I will get details sent over.  :y

That's ok, I have a utility called Root Cloak which works rather well.

That's more than enough IMO.

It lets the Barclays Bank app work, but I'll keep you informed so you (or whoever) can rewrite the detection process if it does work  ;)

Sky Go is a value added product, it comes free with your Sky subscription. It matches the channel entitlements on TV service, with what you can get on a mobile device/web.

NowTV is aimed at non-Sky customers, it's a contract free service. Offering essentially same content (Sky Movies/Sports/Entertainment) but without need to a contract and dish at home.
