Although I suffer terribly from seasickness I have a deep fascination with things nautical.Over the last couple of days I have see[on programmes unrelated to it]a sailing ship in Hartlepool docks/harbour/marina-whatever they call the place these days-what ship is she?Is she famous for something[like H.M.S victory or Cutty Sark?Is she still a sailer or is she a permanently moored/dry docked visitor attraction?I know on the last programme I caught a glimpse of her she was decked out with signal flags on her halyards, although it was too brief a glimpse to read the signal.

Wikipedia is your friend. Lots of interesting pages all on Navy ships, read up on Type 23's aka Duke class after seeing reports one was being deployed to Syria. Interesting reading :y

HMS Trincomalee, second oldest warship under sail still afloat :y
And there are still plenty of monkeys here to crew her should it prove necessary ;)
The signal pennants read: "Abandon hope all who enter here if of Simian blood ye be" ;D
