Orlando! ;D ;D ;D
0-60 in....ermm...no time at all really.....at my age......plenty fast enough ;D

Should be quicker and smoother than a 2.2, guessing Astra if you feel it's slower :-\ dti has more torque, and compared to a 3.2, the 2.6 is a bit of a slug, relatively speaking :y

Not as quick as a 3.2 but if its slower than the 4pots summats defo amiss.
What's the 2.6 put out. 160bhp ? :-\
-
178 bhp :y
-
Hmmm, they have a lower geared diff than a 3.2 as well, so should be reasonably quick.
-
Not saying I wouldn't be disappointed after getting used to my 3.2 though. ;)
-
I've always felt that 2.6s feel a bit flat to drive. The 3.2 is certainly more pokey.
-
The Z22 isn't an Omega engine iirc, so either an Astra G/H, Zafira B or Vectra C, all of which weigh a damn sight less than an Omega, and are all geared for flying around ::)

No mine used to break 8 seconds 0-60

The z22xe is an opel omega 02.

They go quite well when you are used to 2.0 and 2.2....... :D :D But maintenance costs much higher, any further Omega in this family will be a 2.2, more than adequate for our needs....... :y :y
-
You need to try a superior 3.0 MV :P
-
I must have a good one then, in Germany I have seen 125 mph with ease, everyone who has been in it comments on how quick smooth & quiet it is , have not ever been in a 3.2 so can't comment but my 2.6 is superb & certainly not a "slug"
-
Totally agree Tilbo my 2.6 goes really quick, especially in sports mode!It feels as quick as my Astra GTE ever did, mind you that was the 80's

Just nail it .... ie foot burried in the carpet, then it'll not make a difference whether it's in Sports or not ;) ;)

Or a Jeep, in a straight line............ :D :D :D

2.5 and 2.6 do both feel a bit flat compared to 3.0 and 3.2. They're just not really performance models
