When I stop my engine I occasionally will here 4/5 beeps.
Does anyone know why it does this.
Happens about twice a week and is louder on the out side?
Thanks Ady

Front or Back?

Is it the powersounder on its way out. Take it out and throw away

Usually a knackered power sounder. In extreme cases, these can catch fire, so work removing ASAP
-
It's from the front.
Is the power sounder part of the alarm and is it easy to remove.

Cool thank you.
If I take it out and not bother replacing it would the alarm still sound using the horn.

It's a minor thing .. but worth "knowing" ... the power sounder is part of the "Thatcham" designation of the alarm system.
If you simply remove it, and don't replace it, theoretically you cannot declare that it has a "factory fit" alarm system to your Insurance company.
If you have already declared that, then, legally, you should tell them you have disabled that aspect.
Should the vehicle be subject to an insurance claim, it is "possible" that the claim could be denied if they found out you had disabled it and not told them - they could, legitimately, accuse you of not telling them of a significant change to the vehicle specification.
It is argued, by some, that the chance of the Insurers finding out is pretty slim, personally, for the sake of £40 (ish) I purchased and fitted a brand new replacement power sounder. Now that was a few years back and I have no idea of the current price.
Your car, your choice, but worth a few seconds thought before deciding which way to go, IMHO .. :)
