Off work at the moment, long story, hospital appointment tomorrow and on Thursday. Weighed myself tonight and have lost half a stone, and I am a twig anyway. Problem is I do not eat enough, there are some technical reasons for that as well; anyway. Any ideas for food which is very high in calories, tasty and easy to digest, I want to get up to 3 or 4 thousand calories a day.

body builders' high calorie milk shake thingies?

i eat like a horse and dont put nothing on, im the same mike, lost a lot of weight due to stress, never recovered the weight back.

Drink lots of Beer :y :y :y :y
After 4 or 5 pints, you'll be down the the Chippy, for lots of deep fat fried chips 'n Mars Bars etc. ;D
Works for me, provided someone else is buying !

The health food shops have loads of stuff for building you up, but I don't know if that's what you need. Body builders and fitness freaks use it.
I see it when I'm looking for stuff to help me lose the weight I've put on since I gave up smoking. :(

Go see your doctor and ask him/her to prescribe you "Ensure Plus", it's a milkshake type drink especially for people who are medically underweight.

they never taste nice, and the problem with the docs is, i dont think they'll class me as medically underweight as i think technically i'm not of "ill health"
can they be leniant if someone is clearly depressed over not being happy with their weight and appearance?

You can sometimes but Enure Plus on ebay, and as for flavours - there are a lot of different ones: banana, chocolate, fruits of the forest, raspberry, strawberry, vanilla, pineapple.

they still end up bein awful, you think to yourself "i like banana, choc, strawb" but when you try them they're just not anywhere near as appetising, and when consumed at the recommended amounts, quite sickly
...and windy!

Make yourself a little wind turbine, stand with your back to it. Generate electricity and sell it to the National Grid.

Eat high calorie foods BUT make sure you don't get your calories from rubbish. Also, don't lose focus on making sure you get your 5 a day of fruit and veg.
I have a very minor eating problem, for two reasons, one I am a VERY slow eater, due to a slight deformaty, and two I have a very small appetite.
I have to really focus to make sure I eat properly each day, but I cannot stress enough the importance of a varied, healthy diet.
Filling yourself on junk food just to put weight on actually won't achieve it, because without all the other nutrients your body won't be able to process what you're giving it, and you'll also lower your immune system.
I've written up a few basic daily "menu's" that I have mentally used for a while, I'd be happy to share!

Your right, that's why I dont eat loads of crap and was looking for other ideas, eating is an effort, most of the time due to previous surgery.
I would be interested in any menu ideas you have, when you have some time, thanks. :y :y :y

The hospital have changed product from ensure Plus to Fortisip, less calories iirc but much nicer to drink, very much like a milkshake, soo how it goes. :y
