Bose?
-
is there any way of telling if the ccrt 2008 is bose, the car is it has the amp in boot and sub
-
Cant remember if the 2008 have Bose stamped on the Cassette Flap or not but if the Screen and HU is from a Bose Car it should say Bose on the Display on Power up.
If its not Buse then it could be the Amp Switching Voltage from the back of the HU, although said that if it isnt Bose HU your going to have issues anyway with the HU output levels.
-
it all works bar the sound there's no Bose on turning on the unit
-
Sounds like its a non Bose then, so assume the rear plug at the back of the HU is in correctly I would be checking the switched volts sense feed to switch the Amp on as above.
-
you know the plug on the back, well the bit that the amp wires go in (line in) and so on, there empty but the ccr2006 worked on this plug, i was also thinking the wires need to be wired from kick plate to radio connector.
-
also he gave me the loom and plug which was grey the one on the car is blue.

Before you start thinking about rewiring the kick panel, I seem to remember that we've had a similar conversation about this before a few months back.
Fairly sure then you said the 2008 was from a Bose Car?, yes.
-
this is a differant unit to that one, i thought i would give it another go this one came with screen and gsm loom and bit of harness, it works but no sound

Right, ok, so is this unit from a Bose Car?, if it isnt, why are you fitting it, after the other thread we've had about Bose compatibility issues?
-
im not sure i have sent the chap a message asking if it was a bose unit
-
also i have not done anything yet other than plug it in, no wire's chopped or anything like that.
