OE03 EWW 3,.2 petrol saloon
When I took off the exhaust off this car I discovered that the exhaust back box was rusted through. I contacted eternalcar (Jason) he said he could not help me. I see several on e-bay, starting at £51.83. Has anyone any advice as to what to buy?

Have you considered ETS http://shop.etscompany.eu/vauxhall-omega-saloon-30-1994-2001-exhaust-rear-silencer-p-1168.html (http://shop.etscompany.eu/vauxhall-omega-saloon-30-1994-2001-exhaust-rear-silencer-p-1168.html)
I don't think either Eternal or ETS sell a back box with the longer tail-pipes for the 2.6/3.2.
The back-box for the 2.5 or 3.0 will fit the 2.6 or 3.2 but the tailpipes will be a little short.

Thanks. Much better price, should fit, shouldn't it? Is the 2.6/3.2 bumper deeper, so needing longer tail pipes? I have a funny feeling the original back box on this car was bought for a 3.0 which I scrapped, so I used it on the 3.2. The only risk is booming if the pipes end short of the bumper, but I expect I could put it less far on the central pipes.

I fitted an ETS 3.0 back-box to my 2.6 recently. I haven't got round to extending the tailpipes.
If I can find some trims that will fit I will do but noise hasn't been a problem.
Because of the angle of the pipes as they go into the back-box there is only one place it will fit so no scope to move it backwards.

Thanks Andy. ETS box ordered. OF course you are right about the angle preventing length adjustment at that point. I think once on a Carlton the exhaust was coming out within the rear bumper and causing a booming noise.

And heres me having a twin exit genuine Vauxhall rear silencer up for grabs too. Only 5 months old.

Ets systems are v.good got on my 3.2 you have to order the 3.0L system, tailpipes are bout 2" short, it makes no difference what so ever. :y
