I know there are a few working cars here, and the likes of Symes and TB have a few miles on their respective cars, but which is the highest mileage Omega here :-\ Copy/paste reg and mileage below in their ranked place, highest at the top :y
OU54AEW: 263,565.

Recently sold my old Elite with 239800,and buyer was satisfied :y
-
mine was not a taxi or ex plod :y
W312RKL 250,190
-
Silver Bullet currently reads 213k, retail car, not plod/taxi.
Due to ABS failure, may be a bit higher than that ::)
-
All noble efforts 8) hoping for at least one early one that's done 300k+
The occupations of mine are largely offset by it being one of the 'youngest'... a twenty year old car doing a modest 20k per year should be nearing 400k :y

Any Vauxhall thats ever used a lot just rusts away, so they are either unused, or scrapped "early". The Omega is now 20yrs old, yet how many have hit 200k? Not many. TBH, how many PFLs are there now, certainly don't see many, as they have all blown away in the wind.
Even the early facelifts, now 14yrs old, at an average of 15k pa, should be over 200k, but I'm not seeing many early FLs on the road now.
Or maybe the fuel costs mean they are not used so much, or scrapped for something more economical?
My old dealer did tell me of a TD they used to service, used as a taxi, had done over 500k :o

Biggest killer is small accidents and refusal to repair

2000 W reg 215593 :)
Although like TB I ran about for a while with a shagged ABS ECU a few years ago, so it's probably closer to 220,000 :y
-
Around 192k on "51" Plate 3.2, Lowest "high" mileage Omega on this thread so far :o
Did see a 2.2 petrol black FL estate manual on LPG a few years ago with around 350k on the clock, Did look and feel like it had done those miles but the engine was sweet as a nut, Cant recall but i think it had a replacement engine from VX.

My 2.2 had a knackered ABS ecu.....but the mileometer/speedo still worked.....must be different setup on facelifts :-\
Only 150k on mine, before it got too old....then the bloody council went and moved the goal posts a few months later....meaning i could have still used it....but by then it had run out of plate and the council refused to reissue a plate for it.....as it had already expired >:(
Swindon council rules used to be.....vehicle has to be less than 5 years old...so if you apply for plate just before its 5th birthday....you could get nearly 6 years out of it.....my omega was just about 6 years old when the plate ran out....
Then swindon council changed the rules to ....vehicle has to less then 5 years for first plate...but can run upto 10 years old for renewal plates....which stuffed me for keeping the 2.2 as the plate had already run out...it was classed as a first plate.....but then it did have 'issues' which would have cost a fair bit to put right :-\

I think it must of had a replacement engine.....i cannot see a 4 pot getting that high mileage....esp on lpg...

Horsham are pretty straightforward in that regard... less than five for first plate, then as long as it keeps passing the six monthly inspections, it can stay plated indefinitely :y
Oldest Hackney Carriage in Horsham is a '52 plate Octavia, in a very fetching matt white...
-
Only run in at 168k & 145k
-
My old Elite was at 220,000 i think when i sold it and still running strong at the time.
I belive its still on the road with its new owner now.
-
V399 FRF 243,000 miles. Mine since it was 6 months old
-
Mine's still a baby on 104k 8)
I was told when I brought it that it had been a company car for two years and then had an owner that did 5k miles in 7 years :o
It had 69k miles on when I brought it so 64k for company car over 2 years makes sense....but wonder (if true) why the old dude only did on average just over 700 miles a year ???
Either way I've only averaged about 7k a year and she's still goin' strong (touch wood).....as long as I never touch the cambelt again :-X
-
Which got me thinking....243,000/27 mpg = 9,000 gallons x £5.46 = £50,000 spend on fuel alone at today's prices!!
