Title: Where are all the decent late Omegas?
Post by: Martin_1962 on 03 February 2014, 20:29:08
I noticed apart from bog CDs and 4 cylinder cars there are very few FL Omegas around?

Are they all now not for sale or just not around?

Bit of both...  :-\

Mine is one of no more than ten 3.2 manual estates knocking around, and one of those is now in New Zealand :o

I've got one, too !

....... and I've just been given a facelift 2.5 elite which looks like its never been out of the factory. Just not worth selling tho for the money I'd get for it.

I sold mine to a woman in Scotland last year.  She was a member on here, but I haven't seen anything from her since she bought it.  I hope she's looking after it!  :'(

I am semi retiring on the 1st of April from the civil service so will receive my gratuity, my wife has already asked what car I will be buying , very suprised when I told her that my 2.6 will be fine for a few more years. They seem such good cars for so little money , just had 4 new tyres & new  brake pads & will get the timing belt done later this year so for a few hundred pounds I hope to get at least  4-5 more years out of it , it will only cover about 5,000 miles per year compared to the 10,000 it has been doing, that makes more economic sense to me than spending £10,000 or more on some eurobox.
So this is one 2.6 facelift that will not be for sale !!

My 2003 3.2 MV6 gets such little use these days, 'cos the auto box is *****d and I haven't had time to get it sorted, if indeed it can be.

My 03 3.2 auto Elite LPG (certified), as per my avatar, but without the structure of my garage on the bonnet is always for sale for the right price. Its not a bad car, its just I've never bonded with it.

The superior Silver Bullet, 3.0l auto LPG (certified) is never for sale, its one of a handful of cars that I've owned that I really have bonded with. I suspect we only have 12 months partnership left, after which time, for the first time in over 10yrs, I could be Omegaless  :'( (hopefully Vauxhall-less ;D). There may be a genuine tear when she goes.
