Hi guys
Today whilst doing my rounds I came across a new shape Omega MV6 for sale.I spoke to the owner and it has fsh (Done at the main dealer)with 69,000 on the clock. It is a 1999 on a V ..3.0 manual.
It has approx 10 months mot and the cam belt etc has been done.Cloth interior .
I asked him how much he wanted for it (Just out of curiosity) and he reckoned £2,000.
Would you lot reckon this is a fair price or is he asking too much ;)

seems steep - omega prices have plummetted.
-
Yeah I was thinking it was a bit steep really.I like the new shape from the outside I think they look very modern compared to the Omega B but I do prefer the interior of the omega B.
I did have a thought of selling my Omega B which has fsh with only 55,000 on the clock and it has full leather 1999 S reg 3.0 manual but it's only a thought.
Thanks for your input.

I know this new tax lark is annoying for us folks that enjoy driving a big engined car.We could be doomed to drive around in pre-2001 cars forever.. :o

good mileage for a 99 car, and 3.0 manual being the fastest one...
offer £1800, and LPG it!
cheap tax, cheap running costs...
i'll sell mine and buy it!!
considering what you'd get for yours, or not get, you might be better keeping yours with its lower mileage!

Hi Danny
Don't need to lpg it we have owned 3 litre cars for years now so have got used to the running costs... ;)
My hubby is going to have a look at it today, see what he thinks and if he likes it see what the owner is willing to take for it ;)

i bought a 1999 S registered MV6 and its in fairly good nick few rust spots here and there but interior wise its mint and it has a FSH with BT and has had an engine rebuild it cost me £200! with 108k on the clock
and has Recaro Leather seats Bose Self Leveling suspension etc and is also a manual
MissyMV6 it sounds like an Expolice MV6 if it has cloth interior and is a manual id avoid it if it is an old bill car

God how I have missed that bottom!

It's definately not an ex-plod it's a manual because its the old engine with a new body (If that makes sense!) It's a 3.0 and not a 3.2.He bought it from a main dealer when it was 7 months old an ex-demo car.He has all the paperwork to go with it ;)

Well here is the update. After all the info you guys gave me we decided that the car couldn't be worth anymore than £1600 tops.
My hubby picked me up at lunch time and off we went to have a look at the car.The owner didn't know we were coming and was genuinely surprised when we turned up I guess he thought I was bull babbing when I said we would come and have a look. :-/
The colour was very nice (Nocturno blue) and the exterior looked okay apart from a few scuffs here and there.
My hubby loves the interior of our MV6 and having just looked through the window of the one for sale he looked rather disappointed :(
The guy had to go off for about 10mins so that gave us plenty of time to have a good look inside and out.Hubby started it up and it sounded quite noisy although to be fair the car had been stood for quite a while. But it was the interior that let it down...We couldn't believe how plastic it was inside (I apologise to all the facelift drivers ;))and it seemed very bland.Even with all the aluminium trim.
The guy started to get it ready for us to take it out for a spin and my hubby turned round and said don't bother mate I wont waste your time I don't like it!!! :-[
The funny thing was though our MV6 was parked up and he was all over it like a rash he loved the leather and the carbon fibre ;D
