Title: Water vs Gearbox Selector Switch
Post by: Andy H on 05 February 2014, 21:02:21
Given how wet it has been in Cornwall I suppose it was inevitable :-\

Drove home from from work on monday through 2" of snow, slush and running water. Drove both ways yesterday through torrential rain. Arrived at work this morning to find the carpark under 2 inches of salt water (so I swiftly exited said car park and found somewhere slightly above sea level to park)

Got home this evening, selected park and all the indicator lights came on >:(

180 mile round trip tomorrow. What are the chances of the box behaving itself ?

Give her a cuddle, tell her you love her and go gently with her and it'll be grand  :P :P :P

Given my recent similar experience, slim to none. I swopped the selector with a spare pending overhaul of the original, which has solved my problem. :y
