Seen a couple, a little tempted 2.6 Elite with busted cambelt.

-
I suppose a lot depends on where the engine is, cost to collect it, state it is in etc

 Is it complete?

 Local seller, complete engine/car  £50  lovely ;D
-
Bottom line is what it is worth either as scrap or as spares. There was a time when it was worthwhile for people to spend time breaking Omegas and selling the spares but that seems to be slowing down.

A little while ago £150 was being mentioned as the scrap value of an Omega, I don't know if that is still the case :-\
-
Just paid £142 to keep my perfectly roadworthy car  away from Coparts grubby mits :y

-
				buying or selling?
I'd venture a price of 100-200 quid, delivered to my yard, depending on spec.
you might make 200-300 breaking - *maybe*
you *will* make 100 scrapping, taking into account transport and disposal of tyres.

It was £250, but that was when metal was worth £140 per ton.
-
You could always try an online quote from an recycler

We got £200 for a Suzuki Liana

I will post up the link I used later

They handed over payment then loaded the beast onto a transporter, all very professional :y
-
So under £150 for one with bust engine, I will keep a look out.

I can hire a trailer and I can tow an Omega on a trailer no issue.

Also have somewhere to leave it - might make some money.

Engine is in a wreck on my drive.
-
If looking to buy and sell on, I think you'll be lucky to break even.  If its for the fun doing it, thats obviously different, or if its a keeper. But for a quick buck, by the time you've factored in all costs, I think you're on a loser  :'(

If your plan is to build a good Omega from your trashed one and another, then it's worth whatever your willing to spend having a decent Omega that you know is a good'un!  :y

Otherwise a dead engine Omega is worth about the same as the fluff in my belly button!   :D  ;D

worth doing then as you can make one from two

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes :y
-
It will be a bit of fun when the sun is out everything seems better then :y

-
What about looking for one advertised as head gasket failure (ie oil cooler)?

Because I have a good 2.6 with 3.0 cams and ported heads
