Compared to the usual half price offer (£125) for the socket set, that makes the spanners a bit pricey IMHO.  At least Halfords clearly realise that their current socket sets are a step backwards in the spanner department, and having to do these bundles.

Hopefully the spanner that came up with the idea has learned.

If I didn't have a 150pc already, and a set of spinners although not the bigger sizes, I'd go for that. No problem at all. :y

You can get a good deal at Halfords you just need to be careful what range etc they are offering and whether you really need everything they have in the offer

I stood and looked and thought urm suppose i best walk away now before i get into trouble,
but for what's on offer its a good deal for those who need a decent set of tools.

Me and you both ;D

As a starter set they are probably ok although I was always told to buy the best you can afford and hopefully they will last

I still have a Gedore socket set bought in 1976 and still going strong, unlike it's owner (cough splutter) :y :y

PS 1976 for the younger members was ''before you were born''  ;D ;D ;D

I was looking at one of these the other day in Costco.

Seems like good value!  :y  I think someone here recently said they had one and it was OK.  :-\

Sure will be  Craftsman is a make bought and used by a lot of the American techs I have worked with, I used a fair few of their kits and they seemed good enough.

Yep, the Yankees use Craftsmen!  :y

I'm getting sick of seeing all these offers from them... cos they're not offering the 25 piece spanner set for cheap lately. That's what I want!!! lol
