Title: power steering

If the power steering pump was on its way out would i hear it making a noise of some sort? Don't like sound of what I'm hearing and steering wheel feels juddery when turning left to right even when stationary.

It would also make a noise if the fluid level is low so check that first :y

Is it best to check power steering fluid when car is cold? Two markers on the internal dip stick where should it be? That was a silly question wasn't it? ;D

Never had to top up this fluid in any car ive ever had...

Usually a sign of a leak - keep an eye on it and if it drops again, find out where its going. :y

Glad to see you have resolved the problem, hopefully permanently

Keep an eye on the level though
