This area inside the front NS wheel arch is badly corroded. Has anyone had experience of the best type of weld repair to deal with this? I have a welder who is going to do all the welding for me, but would welcome any previous experience comments :y

I had to do that on mine for the MOT last year. It's a double skinned panel that had blown apart.
It's not a difficult repair, but you must grind ALL of the crusty metal away, before welding. Failing to do that will mean a much worse repair in the very near future.
Mine took about an hour to repair properly.

Thanks Nick. Yes I appreciate that. I have taken out 90% of the rust, my guy will take out the rest. Did you weld a plate over the strong point, or cut out a u-shape an weld to it?
