Hello everyone. I recently took possession of an Opel Omega B fl from a friend of mine.

I know extremely little about this car, and its my first European vehicle as well. Everyone says the car has a lot of potential and I see it too...it just needs some TLC.

It originally had the 2.2 4banger Petrol engine, which at some time was ditched (probably due to the lack of parts and knowledgeable mechanics here) in favour of a Toyota 1JZ-GTE engine and transmission.

Apart from that, the car is original, right down to the factory 17" rims.

I'm hoping to learn as much as I can here from you all and get some advice as to how and where do I go to get the car to what I want it to be.

Thanks much,
Ralph.

The 1JZ and 2JZ engines are much more available over here and less costly than the 1UZ. Not to mention that if one is looking at it as a solid platform for drifting, aftermarket parts support is easier for the JZ series. It's quite easy to make 400bhp on the stock internals of a 1JZ GTE engine.
