Title: All German Parts new web site now live
Post by: All German Parts ltd on 19 February 2014, 13:28:19
Hi Guys,
I hope you're all well. I hope you don't mind my doing a plug for our new web site which has gone live today. We have over the last few years, and still do business with many of you OOF members for Lemforder wishbones, steering rods etc,. For this we are very grateful. Our new website has massively improved catalogue search and functionality which means you can now drill down as below:
Year
Make
Model
Sub model
Part category

We have absolutely loads of products listed properly from many manufacturers and I hope you'll take a look (maybe even buy something.) It still has some work to do but it's a thousand times better than before. Give it a look please and maybe use the discount code I created for OOF members only:

Omega10FEB

It's not, I appreciate the same as ECP giving 800% discount today, tomorrow, this weekend and every other special occasion but the prices are as usually already competitive.
Cheers again for your support.
All the best
Jason

Jason/AGP,
How long is that code valid for?

Hi Jimbob,
I think it's probably a Payen without looking but I have seen Payen gaskets at Automechanika parts show with genuine VW Audi stamps on them. We also do Victor Reinz but have not uploaded the data yet.

I suspect the reason Jimbob asked is because we have yet to find a pattern gasket that can consistently last the warranty period, thus have no choice bu to recommend horrendously expensive (even at trade) GM ones.

Even though pattern gaskets are cover by a warranty, its such a tedious job, not many fancy doing it again ;D

Hi,
Certainly until the end of the month  and may continue, although pricing is still a bit up and down and some parts are actually on too cheap due to the way we've used the pricing formula and might rise a little. Like I say work in progress but I'd rather sell to you guys a bit cheaper than our usual margin because it's extra business in addition to our regular  car makes.
cheers
Jason

I agree. I can say hand on heart we don't get any back for VAG and BMW but appreciate that different cars have different requirements.

Yes, its our experiences that prompted the comment.

Ill hopefully make use of the discount as am in the market for some new wishbones, and fancy trying the Meyle ones.

Nicely updated website, and very impressed with the range of parts :Y

Daft question, why is a LH front coil spring a different price to a RH?

Nice choice. We have just taken an order from an OOF member for two pairs as it happens. We have some coming in special order from Germany on Monday.

Thanks for the feedback:)
Good question actually. Do I need to put the cheaper one up a bit ;-) Seriously we just use an excel formula to calculate our selling price based on the cost. Problem is these are just part numbers to the people who price at the manufacturers and we often find price differences for no reason. Catch22 though as they sometimes do put the cheaper one up:(

Hi Rob - we have a few issues with different manufacturers using the same part number - this is one of those instances.

Its showing the febi part as drilled down on the search, but the system has brought up the information up for the Kilen spring that has the same number.

We are trying top resolve this as we speak.

Thanks for pointing this out.

Payen cam cover gaskets are totaly useless, you will note how hard and plasticy they are when they arrive, best avoided.  :y

Hmmmmm, just had these in my hand and didn't notice any plasticy-ness or hardness, but then again I dont know what the Vauxhall ones are like to compare them too.

The genuine ones are a very compliant rubber.

I have tried Payen, FAI (the worst of the lot), genuine, some no-name ones, Elring (these were not to bad).

Do you do headgasket kits for Leyland 680 engine (Federal Mogul/Payen do them from memory)?

Well done AGP.     I will certainly know how well the parts last. in last few months have replaced wish bones, all gaskets and seals on head and cam belt kit including water pump, all purchased from AGPs.  Time will tell.   Very fast delivery.  :y

AGP sell individually, but still a good price *IF they can take the abuse that so many pattern ones can't*.

TB strokes chin, as needs new front discs again soon, but doesn't want to be a trailblazer again following the unsuccessful wishbone polys and SC5 incidents...  ...anyone tried these discs yet?

Bought a set of Payen cam cover gaskets (for one bank), and comparing them with the set of GM ones I already have, they appear dimensionally the same, and also the rubber appears to be as compliant at the GM ones.

I propose to fit the Payens to the drivers side bank and the GM th the other bank to allow a direct comparison - will keep members posted.  Well worth trying as the cost savings over GM are very significant!!

Indeed keep us posted, think it would need a few tests to prove they are reliable and consistent. Be amazing if they are  :y

I'm about to search/ stalk for your posts, but any update on this test? Suspect mine needs a set and I'm tempted by the Payen ones if they haven't exploded within 30 miles...
