Title: Liverpool today
Post by: Stemo on 22 February 2014, 18:06:37
Been over to Liverpool today. Nice empty M62, nice weather...blah..blah.
I always have a look at what else is about when I'm out and today I saw exactly no omegas. None on the motorway, none on the a roads...none...anywhere.
They must be getting more rare and, if you love yours, look after it.
I would buy a decent one to keep as a weekender, but you just can't do that anymore. It has to be taxed and ins companies are not really interested in giving you a cheap policy anymore, esp as I wouldn't have any NCB to put on it.

A bit sad, really... :(

Liverpool was the city of culture a few years ago. :)

How the hell did that happen? ;)

The old ones are the best ones.

What two colours are the wheelie bins in Liverpool?

It is not a surprise given age and numbers remaining - law of averages etc. I see the odd one in Belgium and Germany but probably higher numbers of Opel badge.

There are four Omegas in Wollaton all silver, mine, a 2.6CD Saloon, and 2 X 2.2 's. :y Three of us were in local supermarket car park yesterday, along with a 1972 Triumph Stag and a 1970's XJ6. OH and a Bentley Continental and an Aston Martin of some breed.

I only know one of the 2.2 owners, must fine out who owns the others
