Title: Rear wheel arch
Post by: pauls on 25 February 2014, 09:43:46
Sorry no pics but I will try and describe.
When you open the back doors and look at the wheel arch there seems to be a tape stuck along it.
Its there as some kind of protection strip. My question is when I take this off to treat the tinworm.
Is it possible to buy a replacement strip.

I must admit, I thought it was just a strip of stonechip paint or similar. Will take a closer look at mine. :y

It peels off when you repair the rust bubble.
I did see some on EBay a few months ago, but he wanted over £10a side. For that money I'd buy a bigger piece of dynoc vinyl, and make several.
It only seems to be there to stop the gasket rubbing the paint, so isn't a priority.

Both pieces are readily available from VX, not especially cheap, but better than £10 a pop iirc :y
