Hey,
as some of you know i will be emmigrating to new zealand in september and going to buy a holden commodore.
On the OOF Map in Australia, there is someone called 'Me' and i want to PM him a question about the Commodore, searched the members but couldn't find no one called 'Me.'

I think this question is just an opportunity to 'rub salt into the increasing wounds' ;D ;D ;D

I've looked, but I can't tell from the records on the map. This will have to fall to looking at the location field in the members table of the site, sorry.

You could always write him a letter? People used to do that years ago, so my parents told me. ;)

I am still in Australia. Should have returned to the UK in April but..........Just been advised that my visa application has been approved so I can stay.
I drive a Commodore. It is very old but I love it. What can I tell you?

They are as expensive as you want them to be. I only paid £700 for mine. It has no bells and whistles. Just power steering and a little 3.8 motor. It is very comfortable though and reasonably quick and you can get them fully loaded if you get the Berlina model or any of the other specials. Not sure about cornering etc. as the roads here are pretty wide and straight (no fun twisty bits). There some are some great cars. Try looking on ebay.com.au or tradingpost.com.au there is also a commodore forum. justcommodores.com.au but it isn't as good as OOF.
Just got back from the Wintersun festival in Coollangatta. There were old pre seventies cars as far as the eye could see, fabulous, especially if you like a bit of Rock and Roll. It is a nine day fetival and well worth a visit. Was like a kid in a candy shop.
P.S. it wasn't me on the map. I didn't add my name yet. I am in Bundall on the Gold Coast, near to Surfers Paradise.

yeah little, the proper ones have a six litre. Mind you petrol has gone up by 50% in the last 18 months so maybe I made the right choice. Still only 68p a litre though.

I know, came back at Christmas to see my daughters. Everything seemed to be expensive, not just the fuel. Hopefully be back again this christmas for a few weeks, if I can afford the airfare. My visa is for another four years though, so don't need to worry too much just yet.
