Title: Park pilot
Post by: blackviper90210 on 13 March 2014, 13:23:01
Hi all,

My park pilot is constantly giving a tone in reverse. Sussed that the sensor to the right of the number plate is faulty/not working.

How do I unplug the sensor? Is it a case of taking the bumper off to get to it or does the sensor "pop" out?

TIA :y

Bumper off... the sensor housing is clipped together through the bumper, but sensor clipped into it from behind :y

It's supposed to be possible to take the sensors out without removing the bumper .. but I never managed it ! Be careful you don't "stretch" the wiring as you remove the bumper .. it was this (I think) that caused many of the problems I had ...

you cannot afford to stretch things too much at your age.

I place a beer crate under each end of the bumper to hold it(the bumper::) ) up while removed, so you can work on it with out pulling the loom which is not long enough to allow the bumper to reach the floor.
