Had to laugh yesterday listening to Chris Evans on R2, when he was taking the P at the sound of the new engines and calling them hairdryers!  ;D

He played the sound of the old V8 screaming past and then the sound of these new turbo charged V6's, which was almost a whisper in comparison!  :o  :(

I'm sure they're pretty quick hairdryers though!  ::)

They look pretty brutal by comparison. I like the new sound tbh. :)

you could hear the the tyres squealing under braking over the engines, first time I've heard that, these engines are quiet.

My lawnmower has more grunt than these things. Back to basic straight 6, three litre engines with no driver aids, sort the men from the Vettel's :y ;D ;D

Nice to see Riccardo ,Magnusson and Kobayashi do well.

The first two out performed their err respected team mates. Be interesting to see how the race pans out. It will also be interesting to see how Alonso and raikkonen do throughout the year. I never used to rate Raikkonen but I was wrong. He isn't a strong qualifier but he comes good during the race.

I also wonder how reliable the cars will be as their transmission is ragged with 180BHP extra a lap from energy recovery. Time will tell.
