Main ECU swoping between DBW's ie, ECU, Imob Module and Transponder Chips's, no issues there, but (Talking 2.6 and 3.2 here) if it needs Tech 2'ing between 3.2 / 2.6 and or Auto / Manual, do you need the Vehicle Car Pass to do that?
Thanks Chris. ;)

Tech2 will be to be "Authorized" (level 3 I believe for that), and yes, yankee spelling

Ok, thanks TB, will ask that question, before I drive miles and miles to a Tech 2'er. :y

Certainly the ones listed at http://theboy.omegaowners.com are capable. Serek sold his, not sure on status of that one

thinking aloud, does the 2.6/3.2 need telling what transmission is attached? Mine isn't here today, but if you can wait a day or so, I can check mine

Dont think so, been playing musical chairs with 3.2 ECU's recently, when I put a 3.2 Manual into an Auto drove as normal and all was well, the CID on the Auto reported nothing in terms of issues and the MPG, Range etc, all seemed to work as it should.
Couldn't check the Auto ECU to Manual as the fault moved with it.
Seem to remember Taxi Al mentioning He had a 'Range' or 'Gearbox' issue on the MID, when going Auto / Manual or the other way round.

At the time, that manual car had an auto loom fitted, which may have caused that :y
Certainly no other running issues :y

Probably the same as the older Non DBW's then, the Loom tells the ECU whats fitted and whether to expect an Auto ECU then.

Looks like it. There's a transmission type in "Programming", and also in CAN configuration you can enable AT Ecu.

Ah, so engine ECU needs doing. ABS ECU has a variant coding on it, MID/CID/GID will need to know. Can't think of ought else.

I would concur, if I knew what the hell the pair of you were talking about. ???
