Hi guys,
My buddy came up this afternoon and brought his car. I pushed the boot area up and down and found a squeaking noise from the front bushing of his trailing arm (soaked it with silicone and it went away). If I remove the trailing arm to replace it (or just the bushings) am I going to have the car land on my head? Kind of thinking that would be a bad day :'(
Here's a pic of the trailing arm; you can see where I've soaked it but it wasn't that particular bushing... it was the one on the other end:

Noticed a clunking on the drivers' side rear next. I held on to what I'm assuming is a rear track rod....

....and if I held it taught I could actually make the noise go away (although oddly the silicone spray didn't make the noise go away). So if I am right in that it is a rear track rod (like the Omega has) then he'll have to have an alignment done after replacement, right?
And finally I trust this wont bring the car falling down on me when this is removed?
Cheers guys :y

If thats a gen 3 coupe I've just scrapped one with all kinds of goodies attached, full mint leather etc. Nice cars but stuck together with toffee and the wiring is crap

If it did land on your head, why would that be a bad day? ;D
