Title: Broken rear spring?
Post by: tunnie on 22 March 2014, 20:33:04
Just want to check my logic, as I cannot do a proper inspect as some chubby little admin has my jack  ::)

FatherT asked me to take his 2.2 for a spin, as it was making odd noises from the back. Bounces ok when stationary and pumping weight over the boot.

Driving it along, when coming off a speed pump a big knocking sound from the back. Looking at the rear while parked, the drivers side is defo sitting lower than the passenger.

When springs have gone before, hardly noticed, guessing this one has snapped a long way down!

I do not trust that little one really...

Not Elite, CD spec.  :)

I still think those spare springs are self leveling ones. Guess they will be too soft on standard shocks?

Pig they are SL, yes they will be too soft. Same as they are too soft on your 3.2 Elite.
