Title: DPD 24hour courier
Post by: Stemo on 25 March 2014, 12:30:40
I ordered a grill element for my cooker from eSpares yesterday, and immediately got a email telling me that it would be delivered today by DPD.
AT 6:45 this morning I got a text and an email say that they would deliver today. A signature would be required but, if. I wanted to tick the box, I could tell them to leave it somewhere safe. I filled out the box and got an email and a text telling they had received my instructions. At 8o'clock I got an email and a text telling me that Shaun would be delivering my package between , get this, 16:14 and 17:14. I followed the link supplied and I was shown a map with my location and Shaun's location. Shaun is 17.6 miles away and is delivering parcel number 6. You are parcel number 108.

His little van wasn't moving on the map though....lazy bastid. ;D

I don't know whether this is outstanding service or stalking. ;D

Companies like that, pressurise the drivers to go like f**k, if the driver is late losses bonus, then when they get lots of damage done to vans,as a consequence of drivers speeding to keep to unreasonable tight delivery slots, then the customer moans like f**k because drivers late.
As always drivers fault, management wont change anything as head office says it can and will be done >:(

Ah but are they all in the same box  ? ::)

 . . . . just kidding

Same here, we use DPD, well the InterLink branch of DPD, and they are way better than the jokers at City Link and cheaper than TNT. Great.

Can't be a fun way to earn a living.. although the regular drivers who deliver here always seem chirpy, some of them (the Yodel man, anyway) even remember to ring the bell at the front then come round the side.

Yep, they collect just the one box. 40ft long, with DPD written on the side.  ;D
