Title: Air intake sensor
Post by: Nigels on 27 March 2014, 16:45:31
I finally got round to putting the car back together after changing the alternator, put the bagpipes back, connected up the MAF sensor, the sensor at the rear of the multiram, but can't find the air intake sensor. Does anyone know where its connected to so that I can trace it back and reconnect it. Just to be clear, I know where it needs to go but I can't see the lead with connector on anywhere in the semi-gloom that passes for daylight at the moment. Any help would be appreciated.

From memory (not got a V6 to hand ;D) from the cable tray crossing front of cam cover, drivers side.

Cheers for that, found it straight away ! Plug it back in and nowit looks like the MAF sensor has died on me. Start the engine up and it coughs and splutters, the revs drop right down and if you rev it, it backfires and then stalls. Did a paperclip test and got code 73 (MAF low voltage). If you unplug the sensor it runs fine, although the EML flashes. Just what I need with the MOT due Monday !
