will a manual run on a automatic ecu???

To answer your Q, I don't know. I believe an auto can be converted to manual

TD ECUs are different between manual and auto, early (DDE2.0) ones are 214 for manual, 215 for auto, later ones (DDE2.1) are 427 for manual and 428 for auto

reason I ask is because one im working on will cut out at 1500rpm and on the data display its telling me ecu is for an auto car

mine did run on an auto ecu  .. it was x25xe..  later I changed to x30xe manual ecu..

all ecus have the duty of ignition timing and amount of fuel based on air suction..  so whats different ;D


and plus on a diesel there is no ignition duty :)
