Title: Steam/water injection on the 2.5TD, anybody done this?
Post by: SR-71Blackbird on 30 March 2014, 20:49:17
Hi all,

Has anybody experimented with steam injection or water injection specifically on the 2.5TD engine?
Just wondering basically.

Thanks

Might be easier just to make the intercooler more effective IMHO

Not thinking about it from power gain perspective, just the possible cleaning effect. Any thoughts buddy? Ever tried it on the turbo weasel?

Certainly not something I have tried.  I believe Omegatoy has played about with LPG in order to create a more complete burn in the cylinders. Not sure if that would have any cleaning effect.

Project tractor was more about water ejection, if memory serves. ;)
