..My local VX dealers haven't a clue what type the Omega have and want me to remove the fused bulbs and bring them in so they can order, Which is not happening, Why this is so complicated for them is beyond me... >:(
Can someone provide me with the name of the bulbs and all the different types.. or eBay links etc.
I need one main beam, EML, and right side background illumination bulb..
This would be much appreciated, VX are driving me crazy..

It's only four screws to remove the cluster...
Drive to the dealer, dump it in the middle of the forecourt and pop the cluster out. Refuse to move the car until the cluster is refitted. Might learn the parts bloke to be less retarded ::)

Well I replaced the bulbs today and also found a lose bulb behind the instrument panel which would have been causing that ratteling type sound I've been dealing with for many many months ;D
There is a snag...The new 3W ( http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/505-3W/ ) background illumination bulbs unfortunately seem too weak, very dim in comparison to what they where like.. Maybe i need 2W :-\
-
3w bulbs will always be 50% brighter than 2w ones ::)
Would start by adjusting the dimmer switch :-X

Goes without saying ::) .. If i dim it all the way down they are almost off no light at all...

Doesn't really show well in the video..

Ah, you've broken it then...
-
Right then, I tested one of these 3W bulbs I have left over and it's dim with a car battery charger at 12V... Looks like i'll have to pop to VX or Halfords and take one of the original fused bulbs with me...

Think i know why these are so dim now, Looking closely it says 24V 3W http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/505-3W/ ..Shouldn't it be 12V 3W :-\

Yea, that would do it, works out as the same as 1.5 W, probably less as the heater elements probably not running to spec.

These are cheaper Link (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RING-Automotive-RW504-W2-1-x-9-5d-12v-3W-capless-sidelight-bulb-x-2-Pack-/231184810930?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35d3b043b2), Ring RW504 W2.1 x 9.5d 12V 3W ... Hopefully these will do.

The illumination ones are capless 12v,2 or 3w
The warning ones are 12v, 1.2w or 12v 2w (this type is defined by base colour)
