Title: Sport or standard chassis
Post by: tooleater on 10 April 2014, 10:04:51
Just called Northern motors Pinner. In process of ordering new front springs and shocks. Guy in parts said there are 2 types of shock listed. Standard Ident.. RM or LM... Or Sport Ident.. RP
Does seem obvious chaps, but these are special order from Germany, there will be no returns :-\
Just need someone to confirm please :y

I would guess that the sport ones relate to MV6 models, though as far as I know they can be fitted to any model. I'm sure others in the know will be along soon and confirm with more info  :y

Hi,
I played it some weeks ago too.
I have mv6. I changed the front shocks only.
The shocks SAME in all omegas, but if you have normal car, you can buy sports if you want.
The sprins different in the normal and sport models.
I bought bilstein b4 (i got this advice from the forum, thanks again), and everything ok.
There was a good sale in the eurocarparts, may still.

Are you sure that need to replace the springs too?
I did test last weekend from england to hungary 1300 miles.
On the motorway the car was amaizing in any speed up to 130 mph.
Im not joking!
I changed only the front shocks!

Can't help with the ident, but yours should listed as lowered sports chassis, at the very least.

...what year is the car?

Might be worth ringing another dealer, see of they can make more sense of it for you. :(
