Title: Omega -99 MV6 unattached connector.
Post by: Muroman on 13 April 2014, 17:52:34
Hello,

I got unattached connector (4 pin).
In front of right side front wheel, looks like the other side of the connector is going on some kind of compressor not sure if it is but it looks like.
I didn't attach it I wanted to ask first why is it probably unattached and what is it.

Sounds like the self levelling pump for the rear suspension :-\

If it were on the left, your drivers side, then it would be the air pump for the secondary air injection system :y

It could be you have air suspension on the rear and that is the compressor for it...

possibly gone noisy so was diisconnected and the rear shocks changed for oil filled instead of air shocks...

UK yup, but his is an MV6 on a -95 plate (going by his details)

MV6 not released here until 1998.5, so could well have had self levelling as Europe specs can be very different to ours  :y

Ye, it was the rear suspension thing, tried to attach the cable but nothing happened. Probably broken and thats why its unattached.
