Title: Elite S reg 1999 dashboard lights

Hi. New to the forum and wondered if any one could give me any ideas . i recently bought an S reg 1999 Elite . I have the centre consul which is the 4 dial configuration (outer 2 being temperature display ) and have noticed that these temperature displays and fan speed display don't illuminate making it extremely dark and hard to read . All other dashboard lights seem fine so I m a bit confused  :-\

Common issue, answer from our maint guide section, replace all 5 while you are at it :y

That's brilliant thanks for that Jimbob , looks involved but doable  ???  Out of interest are the bulbs readily available or awkward to find ?

And sorry for sounding so dim here but I want make sure I get the right ones , will the be screw in ? Or push fit ?

Twist fit from memory, Havent bought any for a long time, but last ones i got from vauxhall themselves,

im sure autobulbsdirect will do some the same if you can work out which.

I got mine from local vehicle electrical repair company. They had several differant types in stock and matched mine to the stock items

.......wish I'd seen this before we met today...
If you need a hand changing them, I've done mine recently.

You'll need 5 bulbs (IIRC) and they are twist and push. Should be able to get them from any 'stealer

Grrr , should have said lol any more info I need , I want know exactly what I'm asking for so I don't take everything out then find I have wasted my time  :D
Any specific numbers I should ask for ? Which 'stealer did you use ? Lol
How bad a job was it ?

just tell him/her what you want the bulbs for ..... he'll look on EPC & hand you the bulbs

W.J.Kings in Dartford is about the best in North Kent and helpfull guys at parts counter.As said replace all 5 whilst its apart as quite fiddly job.

The metal bar can be abit akward to pull down to release center console  >:( so when I did mine I put a couple of cable ties on it meaning it was easier to get at in future repairs  :y

Forgot about them and they are only up the road 😄 hopefully they will have all 5 in stock . OK that's the next thing , I will give it a go . Will leave myself plenty of time haha
