To be honest we went to Darlington to buy a really low Mileage Citroen......... :-X :-X However, such is our luck the car was sold........ :'( :'(
What a turn up for the books after trailing around, Miss Vamps kept pointing at the Insignia, we ended up in a dealership, a make that had never even crossed my mind and bought this.............. :y :y :y

Not a fan of the interior, but should suit you well :y
And with a 1100kg braked towing limit, your sister won't be borrowing all the time ::) (lack of towbar notwithstanding) nice colour too 8)

Nice! :y What happened to the need for a 'sit up and beg' type car? ::) ;D

Nice! :y What happened to the need for a 'sit up and beg' type car? ::) ;D
Well........ ::) ::)
It was my full intention to buy a 'sit up and beg' and walked away from an Insignia because I struggled to get out of it; with hindsight I may not have given it a fair chance..... :-\ :-\
The seat hight of the Honda is quite high, I tried many entrance / exits and all seemed fine, the toys, gadgets and the test drive won, it drives fantastically for my style of driving; nippy rather than flat out. Will need help from Miss Vamps to help me with some of the toys, and I have never used a sat nav......... :D :D :D

Might even throw my maps away, though I think it will take me a while before I could rely upon it without having some paper back up...... :y :y

Must admit, I don't find the Insignia at all comfortable :-\
-
Nice car Mike, congratulations! Oh, & as for the Sat Nav, you've never been really lost until you use one!!!! :D ;D :y

Same, every time I've tried one, the seats are rock hard. I really struggle to see the progress in cabin/seats from Omega to Insignia :(
I'm told it's fine for long journeys no back ache, but at least when I climb into the Omega it feels comfy and is comfy!
-
I struggle with getting out of it after an hour or so :-\ biggest gripe is that the steering column has enough adjustment to be annoying, but not quite enough to be useful... I know the Omega has fully electric seats, so is a doddle to position just so and the Insignia only has electric height and lumbar, so not a direct comparison, but even so :-\

I quite fancy it's 'big brother' the Honda Leg-end. However, I'm not allowed to buy any more cars without an 'appropriate adult' to guide me.;D ;D ;D

It's got to be surely the LS430/LS460 the LS400 is looking dated :-\

Well done on getting a good car that suits your needs. If your Accord is as reliable as somebody I know who has had two of them, you will never need a non-service item. :y :y :y

Yup .. Accords were very reliable .. well they were 30 years ago !! Never had a problem with the one I had, and I was commuting Swindon to Doncaster every weekend for 3 years in it ... only got rid of it when on jacking it up to change a slow puncture the jack went straight through the bodywork .. and the wheel never left the ground !!! :)

New ones are good looking on the outside, but why are their interiors still so poor compared to European?
