Title: ABS and TC lights on
Post by: judge_dredd65 on 27 April 2014, 10:15:56
Hi all,

My ABS and TC lights have just suddenly come on and stayed on. When you first start the car they do not come on till you move off. The speedo is still working. Is this just going to be one of the abs sensors?

Are all the indicator lights on the gearbox selector working as you move the gear stick ?

Best do the peddle trick and put the codes up here  :)

Pedal trick & paper clip trick just does engine codes  :)

0430/0420 is usual on the 2.6/3.2 (pre-cat)
0340 is cam sensor, very rare to have problems with that on the V6 ???

Needs a code reader that can read ABS ECU, ideally.

However, I have seen spurious cam codes through the autobox ecu off kilter, which then upsets the ABS ECU...  ...IME, that only brings on TC light, not ABS one.

Probably dodgy abs ecu, although could be a sensor.
