My 14 year old Elite has effectively come to the end of its life (economically speaking). It has served me for 10 years but needs too much work, much more than replacement would cost.
Quite local to me someone is selling a CDX that looks in good shape.
I would like to keep my leather seats if possible. Can I swop my leather interior from the Elite? Is the wiring all there for the heating and adjustment?
Anything else I should consider transferring before I scrap the Elite?

Fronts will be fine, heaters will work, but be aware the memory of the elites seats work in the cdx, and the heater wiring for the rear won't be present in the cdx either.
Edit. Assuming cdx is post 2000 of course.

Seat memory will be fine assuming fitted as per guide :y no mirrors though...

Ah, assumed the missing mirror wiring would bugger it.
That'll teach me to post on an electrical thread. ;D
Can the rear seat wiring be added?

Just need the relay loom and switch panel from the Elite... should be plug and play :y
Hadn't answered that bit as only half awake ::)

Also assuming that both cars are Saloons or estates and not one of each ::)

Thanks for the help guys, I thought I knew the maintenace guides quite well.
The CDX is a 2002 saloon so will be compatible. I am not sure yet if I will buy it because there is no written service history for the car, not unexpected for an older car, it just passed its MOT but the owner couldn't even say when the timing belt was last changed. He said his son works at a garage and does all the servicing. I'll sleep on it.
The seat change job looks like it might exceed my very limited skill set, I was hoping it would just be a matter of plugging in some connectors.
Sorry for being dumb but what does "be aware the memory of the Elites seats work in the CDX...." mean?
And where would I find the "relay loom".

Rears... eight bolts and some plug and play wiring. Armrest/rear switches two bolts and plug the switches in, (do this when front seats are out).

And where would I find the "relay loom".Under the back seat. Simply follow the wiring on the Elite to find the relays. All plug and play.
Hth :y

If you need a hand to wire up seats, feel free to pop by Brackley :)
What won't work in memory function on mirrors, as you're missing too much loom.

Thanks for the offer Jaime.
I slept on it and decided to restore my old bus to her former glory, economically crazy but its not her fault she's old.
