Are the facelift MV6 and Elite door cards the same (other than the wood/alu bits)? I tore the fabric in one of my MV6 cards and considered that it might be easier to get hold of an Elite door card and swap the silver/wood inserts (as opposed to finding a like-for-like replacement). Cheers chaps.

I believe there are all the same (excluding the colour of lower section on earlier facelifts - beige or charcoal)

The clothe or leather under the panel trim is different between
The 2 models as its matched to the seat material.
-
Fit is the same. As Zirk says though, the added complication over the wood or silver inserts, is the fabric/leather section above the arm rest is specific to the material of the seats.

Yup, I realised that as I spotted the leather insert on an Elite door card (my 53-plate MV6 was originally equipped with cloth seats). Am I right to assume that the leather/cloth insert is removable too?

Carpet on the door pockets varies in quality to match floor carpets...
You can replace the fabric as easily as the trims :y coincidentally I have four leather (actually vinyl I believe) panels in black here...
Available for a selection of beer tokens ::)
Can also remove and recover the panels with anything else... alcantara/vinyl/real leather/carpet...
I also have beige alcantara here :y

Yes the door pickets change. My old 52 plate ( and onwards) had black/charcoal fabric on the baige interior door card.
Where as Tunnies earlier beige face lift door card on his 2.2 had beige fabric on the door pockets.
I can see why they went for the darker colour on later models, as the dust created on the area covering the speakers really shows up on the light colours meaning the speaker area is shown up by a load of dirty dots.
Obviously the darker fabric covers the dirty dot marks nicely.

My MV6 is registered 2004, although I wouldn't say that the door card fabric was especially dark. You can certainly see the speaker cavity muck on 'em (although not for long since I blitzed the interior with Vanish at the weekend, hehe!).
