How do you access the diagnostic mode on a 2013 with CID...GPS display in right corner is contant red so assume not seeing satellites but sure I read you can access test mode to see if satellites are available

Press and hold MAIN for 6s.

Then press NAV, then MAIN. Top left figures (active/Visible) on page 1 of 3

Pull one of the plugs apart in the loom Andrew, and see if you can see Volts between the inner pin and outer that should be feeding the GPS Antena, that will confirm its connected at the back of the HU.  ;)

I thought it was Main and Info together, also from memory though.

Something like North and Easterly comes up followed by a list of Sats, should show a many as poss with good signal, 0 bieng zero, 40+ being good.

Cheers Chris.

Will see if I can get a few minutes on it tomorrow.Have a feeling the little magmount aerial under parcel shelf has died and really dont want to remove shelf again as blind was less than a convincing fit last time so more disturbance could lead to further complications.

My assumption is to split the main VX aerial lead at the blue coms box in drivers footwell then take some reading from the cables. If mag is dead will see if I can source another aerial lead ,that way I dont need to pull much apart and then go for a front screen glass mounted sat-nav aerial and get it connected to main coms box lead
