Fine looking soft top but is it a mans soft top or girlie hairdresser one :-\
250bhp :o
Soft top (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alfa-Romeo-Spider-JtdM-turbo-diesel-250-bhp-convertible-/181392298979?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2a3bd2d3e3)

I love Alfa's but that one is a 'hairdresser's car'.
Too pretty for a hetrosexual man, but just fine for girlies and poofters. :)
-
Having said that I'd prefer it to your Pug, Mr Emd. ;D ;D ;D
-
It's very nice. :y

Your asking...... ::) ::) Get in touch with your sexuality, be comfortable with who you are and then sod anyone else, if you want it go for it....... :y :y
Poofter........ ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
nope.. give me anyday :) :y

If I was after an open top car that wasn't overtly 'girlie' I'd go for a TVR Griffith 500. :y :-* :-* :-*

Me too. Probably more reliable than an Alfa, and certainly cheaper and easier to fix.
Better looking too.

It seems that there's an outbreak of pinkness on this thread! :o The Pink One will be along soon to sort you all out!! :D ;D

I think this is too powerful for the hairdressers ::) Got to be a mans topless car ::)
-

I know of one for sale - low mileage, impeccably maintained, reasonably priced...

The BHP figure is bull, you cant get the 2.4 jTD to that level of output with the particulate filter still fitted.
-
Thought it was too good to beleive for a soot checker ::)
-
Diesel and convertible. That's just wrong. ::)
Does it come with a gas mask in case you have to reverse? ;D

Hmmm.....Well I don't own a Mercedes anymore so.......perhaps...... ::) ::) ::) ;)
With a 'woofly' old Rover V8 up front it should be reasonably inexpensive to maintain. :y :y

Agreed.
I thought they came in either 190BHP or 210 BHP flavours.

Next door to me has the same engine but in a 159, it's been into Alfa a lot!
Only does short runs, last time they brought it back from the dealer, within miles the cabin was stinking of diesel ;D
-
Anybody who buys a modern diesel and does short runs is a bloody idiot ;D ;D :y

In all seriousness you probably wouldn't find a better example - it had a body-off chassis restoration in 2007: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/tvr/griffith/tvr-griffith-1995-n-500hc/2244325
Though this has me tempted at the moment, on the proviso that I'd rip out the RV8 and replace it with a decent V8: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/datsun/240z/datsun-240z-1973/2212721

I would love a TVR
-
Like that old Datsun :-* Cant be many of those about with original bodies :-\

Ditto, although I'm probably too fat to fit in one.. :-[ A Tamora with an LS engine conversion would be my poison, though.
Like that old Datsun :-* Cant be many of those about with original bodies :-\
Ditto - I've always loved the Z cars (having owned a couple of Z32 300ZXs) and I'd love a 240Z .. sadly I don't have £8k lying around!
-
Ive always liked these Toyota (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Supra-Turbo-Auto-/251514073365?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3a8f683115) Nearly bought one a while back ::)

Does a daily one mile round trip in a 3.0d constitute a short trip? ;D If so, my wife is guilty as charged. :y ;D ;D
My mate had an Alfa GTV many years ago. Not saying it was rotten but it used to leave bits behind as he accelerated. ;D ;D

But it could be short runs at full throttle :D ;D

TB reckons that it's only got about 50 BHP........and with his weight problem ::) ::) that doesn't make a good equation. ;D

All well and good but even 1 mile at full throttle wont stop the DPF clogging up........and then its off to the garage

Its more recent (many had them from 2008 ish, some earlier), a requirement to meet the delights of the Euro4 emission spec.
