Title: Inlet manifold cleaning
Post by: blackviper90210 on 03 May 2014, 13:52:38
As my engine is half stripped, the inlet manifold is covered in oil from the failed oil cooler. Is it ok to use traffic file remover and hose it off clean?

Just checking due to the fuel rail electrics ???

Any cleaner will do, I tend to use Alloy Wheel cleaner foam from the Pound Shop, for Inlets, Penlium, breathers etc with a paint brush, as its cheap and contains Ammonia, cleans a treat, then just rinse off with some water mixed with dab of Fairy Liquid.  :y
