I had a very enjoyable day out yesterday when after 6 years of OOFing I finally attended a 'meet' at Terbert's do in High Wycombe! :y
It was good to stretch my old Omega's legs up the A303 and great to put faces to names and meet a few of the people that I've chatted to, argued with, laughed at, laughed with, abused and been abused by!!! :y
There were a good selection of Omegas there, most of which are in superb condition and are a credit to their owners, but put mine to shame! :-[ My list of jobs has lengthened somewhat, but my enthusiasm for the old gal has been renewed and I came away with some good tips and advice! :y
All in all it was a 15 hour day as I left at 0900 and got home just after midnight, but it was well worthwhile to meet some new folk and I had a nice evening with an old friend in the evening in nearby Henley upon Thames. :y
Thanks Again to Tony and Chris for their hospitality and I'd recommend going to a meet if you've never been to one! :y :y :y

I offered to go to a meet once. They wouldn't tell me where it was. :(

Likewise, it's always nice to put names to faces :y
Besides, what are bank holidays for, if you can't take the car out for a blast and meet up with a few like-minded people :y

Same here. My face is no stranger to the ugly stick. I have to wear a bag during the hours of daylight. :-\ :) ;)

It was good to meet you Steve, and I really appreciate you coming so far to our meet. Glad you enjoyed our hospitality, and met a few other Oofers.
As you know, I spend a lot of time in your part of the country, and over the next three months, will be in Dorset for six weeks. Maybe meet up for a pint and a chat?
Chris can drive, I'll sit in the back so I don't have to look ;D

Thanks Chris and I've heard that Uncle STEMO's filmstar looks stop the Wakefield traffic regularly! ::) :)
