Hi,
I said I would report back after full Geo setup and thought I would post the before and after :D
Well, after 2 new wishbones (fitted by Daz - Cheers :y) I went to Nigel Langs today for 4 new tyres (Uniroyal Rainsport 3's), Geometry setup and A/C vac and refill/re-gas (A/C had 50gms refrigerant left from the 950 when car new !!! No leaks :y so filled back up again and froze to death on way home :y :y).
I would HIGHLY recommend the place. Professional, Pete CERTAINLY knows his stuff and car totally transformed - like NEW again :y :y :y Would trust them with any car of mine and my steering wheel is now FINALLY STRAIGHT 8)
Car was way out, and crabbing a little.
The two new front Trackrods I bought were not needed, so I have a pair going to highest bidder ;) Bought from http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=371053376220 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=371053376220)
Car handles great now, no wheel shake, no feeling like would catapult me off road ??? and straight as die - I even ventured above 69mph (a tad :D) and all felt solid and safe again :y
Well chuffed.

Nigel Langs is by far better than WIM. They give far better service I found personally.
Glad your car is sorted and driving how it is supposed to x

Even out dragged a BMW 320D from lights to his surprise with my 4 new boots ;D and still averaged 36mpg on way back from Bolton. Must be the engine timing and cam belt ;)
May need rear brake flexies doing later in year. Not sure when brake fluid changed. Will pm you later in year if your interested :y
Ttfn.

You sound like your enjoying the car again :y ;D

Very precise figures :y

Bigron, give Europit a look at Heybridge, Maldon. I have had mine done there and also the ABS chairman has to. We used to go to supertyres but after a management change, they were a waste of space. Supertyres used to get a lot of the ABS Lotus Carltons to do, but not anymore

i was doing some research and nigel langs is a 524 mile round trip for me, its a shame as he is highly recommended, i found a place local to me that does it in brighton, will post read out when its done. be intresting to see how it compares. wish me luck. :y

Lang's are very good, nice to see they use the revised geometric positions i wrote for the Omega and gave them. Pete is top of his game in regard to customer care and never to ashamed to call me if he has a problem outside of the box.
-
just a quick question , how much does it normaly cost for a full geometry setup ?.just want to be sure im not being ripped off. :y
-
Thanks Keith.
Europit have a place in Hatfield Peverel, just down the road from me - are they the same firm? They seem to be a small, low-rent outfit, doing part worn tyres and with a shabby-looking yard, not inspiring confidence in their ability to perform posh adjustments!
I've done 130k miles in my Omega and may be on the original wishbones (My contribution to the total is 50k miles) - due for replacement?

Depends. Wim and its franchises charge around £100, but the head office in Chesham offer a discount to oof which brings it down to circa £70.
Micheldever charge £20 per adjustment. Nothing to measure.
Ring whoever is nearest and get a quote...?

I mentioned OOF when I phoned to make the appointment and again when I got to Chesham but I still got charged full whack. :-\ :-\
Perhaps I'm not forceful enough. :-\

Trying to find someone local.

For anyone in West London there is a very good place near Heathrow with the Hunter set up (never used them for an Omega but they did a good job on my Mitsi Evo 9Gt).
-
here is a link to Feltham Tyres, just near Heathrow T123/ Bath Road
