Title: My Biking Hero coming to Donington
Post by: Darth Loo-knee on 29 May 2014, 20:52:24
The classic bike festival in August Mr Kevin Schwantz will be riding the 2 stroke Suzuki once again. At £12 a ticket I am going... met this guy before, got his signature on my leather jaxket a few years back... what a weekend it looks to be  :y

Jesus......you must be old. Even I can't remember that far back. ;D ;D

Seriously though, Kevin was  a great rider way back then.

Used to do battle with Eddie Lawson if memory serves. :y

Christ he MUST be skint, sitting there with Joe public gazing at him.

Legend though, and can still walk. :)

Them were the days  :)
Wayne Gardner too was amongst them at the time, though Doohan on the Repsol Honda always got my vote  :y

Have to say I lost interest when the 2 strokes finished.... remember Neil McKenzie leading at Donington years ago and the pub being in uproar :y

Forgot about McKenzie! Carl Fogarty had a brief sojourn into Moto GP too. Did pretty well from what I remember, though super bikes was definitely his thing.
