It's the anniversary of The Longest Day, and google have got some Buddha type for a doodle. (Although there is a link underneath. I hope that gets changed on US time.
Buddha type might be somebody important, but surely I won't get a chance to read it later...?

Now hold on. To be fair it is an American company, and they did suffer the highest casualties, on the most heavily defended beaches. Who knows what would have been the outcome without them ?
Hollywood on the other hand....
