Only 6 auto's on Autotrader, 3 from Roger Budden and not many more on ebay, some bugger must have bought the one I had an eye on recently........ ::) ::)
-
Neither of mine are for sale if that helps ;D
-
I make it 14, including a limo. Although the Dti is only available in manual.
Of to the opticians for Mr Vamps.

Of to the opticians for Mr Vamps.
Is that the official Doctor advice, or a mere suggestion ;D

Spelling needs work, but yes I can provide a note if required. Although there is a charge for Drs notes of course.

Sheesh .....that's also £15,000 for 'Robber' Budden to potentially trouser.

Have you been unwell, Mr Emd?
Is your predicted demise sooner rather than later?.... ;)

A 2.5 TD estate to your liking?

It was the inline 6 under the hood that i was interested in , he wasn't very helpful towards me viewing the car so didn't bother :(

Everything has a price ???

Took me 2 1/2 years to find mine ;)

Try finding an Estate Elite 2.2DTi - rare as rocking horse.. I'm actually now slightly sad I missed out on that one with the dead pump a week or so ago. Especially as this higher mileage CD went for £600 - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191204653926 (although that is a really nice colour..)

Hence my text question earlier :y
-
Ah the one my phone saw fit not to tell me about.. or it probably did right about when the alarm went off in Sainsbury so all I did was stab at the screen to make it stop going "boing" loudly ;D :-[
I shall reply forthwith!

My CDX DTI Estate will be up soon and with only 120k on the clock with leather ::) ::) brother has it in the Elite but no leather in his, but don't think he wants to part with it

All 3 of mine have leather and 2 of them are auto (3.2's only come with leather :-\ unless EX plod ?)
-
Bigger shortage of 3.2's by the looks.
£2.5 - £5k :o
-
Leather was standard on the 3.2 Elite, cloth and sports leather being no cost options.
Cloth was standard on the 2.6/dti elite, leather being a cost option :y

About 50 MV6 estate's in the 3.2 size I was told ? That's why I am keeping the one I had off RobG in April, starting work on it this week so hope to have it on the road soon. :y and it has sports (MV6) leather

runs outside to check...... Nope mine has leather :)

Indeed, a not inexpensive option on the MV6 :y hence the relative rarity of the interiors...

Hummm our Elite Estate was going to go, but I'm having second thoughts really, as the 3.2's first err proper outing in it's new role did well. But lack of boot space was apparent, even without a tank in there.
I've been looking at Zafria's and compared to the Omega, boot space is disappointing.
I also failed to spot how few decent Estates are on the market, just 15 in total on trader, just 4 Elites :o
Ours has had in the last 24 months, new exhaust, rear SL shocks, brakes, cam covers and dis-pack. last 12 months, full set new tyres.

Hummm :-\

If an omega estate is not big enough, you need a van.

Quite a few estates on the bay , a lot of silver ones :D

I couldn't agree more :y
Of all the Omegas I've owned (thus taken on long journeys), by far the most comfortable was PFL Elite cloth :)

Its called a shitbox Zafira...

I fall in the 'I love leather' camp. :D

Ditto - find it much easier to get my fat lardy huge arse in and out of a leather seat than a velcro-like cloth one
-
P/fl mv cloth soooo comfy :) And heated seats always work in cloth :)

Boot does not appear as good as Omega Estate though, in terms of space. Zafira is taller, but can't really use the height available.

Its not. Not even close. Its an Astra-G estate, but taller.
Not much to match Omega Estate. E class maybe? RR?

E Class maybe, don't think RR is bigger.

Current E-class estates are significantly larger inside than the Omega, both in terms of length and usable height (as there's an extra 9" or so of depth below the false boot floor) I reckon..
As a rough guide I think the Omega had a load capacity of 540L (seats up) with the E-class at 650L, and 1000L (seats down) with the E-class at 1600L, although that last number sounds so enormous I wonder if they count the front seat area as well.

So let me sum this up:
Tunnie: my omega estate is not big enough.
Me: if an omega is not big enough, you need a van.
Tunnie: yep.
TB: no, you need a zafira.
Tunnie: Zafira is not long enough, even though it's higher.
TB: of course it's not long enough, it's an Astra G estate.
Tunnie + Me: we know, so why did you fickin suggest one then?
;D

Because he doesn't need an Omega Estate. He hasn't realised that his days of going away snowboarding for a week or 2 with all his mates in the car are long over :-X

As we have an Estate, might as well use that. Don't really want a Zafira :-\

There's a nice looking Estate on Autotrader at the moment - meets almost all of my specifications bar two; it's low miles (~78k), late year (2003), CDX (Elite preferred, but, I'll live).. shame it's silver (they're all silver!) and £2500 ;D

Tunnie, there's only one thing to do if you don't want a Mumsy bus Zafira or similar... :-\
-
Yeah - I thought it was silver but a second look .. it's that champagne colour, isn't it..

The Estate would do nicely, I think. For now at least :y

It's Oyster :y
Gay champagne is slightly pinky and wasn't available on later facelifts, fank thuck ;D,

A pair of snips and a local anaesthetic could make that a bit more permanent...

(Actually it looks reasonably nice in the pictures, if a little close to silver!)
-
Oyster. Interesting colour. Changes shade with the light. Looks like a heat reflective screen too.

MrsT would not be impressed ;)
Estate for now, little TLC and it would come up well. Propper valet and some tints in the rear windows, should suit our needs for next 12 months at least.
Due to go to Wales in August for a few days, no way could we get all out needs in the 3.2 :'(

Everything still works afterward you know .. just no risk of accidentally creating tiny screaming balls of poop and vomit.. ;) ;D

Ohhh heck, that was meant to be my inside typing.. ;D
Sorry Tunnie! ;)

;D ;D ;D ;D
MrsT is Irish, they like big family's in Ireland ::)
Just been looking at old photos of the Estate, sadly it's covered in bird shite at the moment. But when polished up, it looks good and is a great load-hauler....

Must admit I really like that colour..

Don't really want a Zafira :-\
I can absolutely, 100%, completely and utterly understand that :)
Although, what does MrsT want? I seem to recall you saying she wasn't happy driving Omegas?
-
That red, no matter what make or model car its on, does seem to scrub up well.
Although I think you've gained a bit of rear arch rust since then? And I know the stereo is shagged ;D

Anything that can take what we need, she needs a refresher course. She thought the French bit of crap we had in Dublin was a "nice car", so cars wasted on her.
She has not driven any of them yet, can't see it being a problem once she has confidence.
I can forsee a fair few long journeys 2hrs+ to Wales, Brighton, Northants ect, so keen on staying with Omega's

That was taken in 2011, so yeah a little more now. But it still comes up well though with some turtle wax wash :y :y
Display is a bit temperamental, might have to stick something else in there at some point. :-\

Anything other than NCDC will need some rewiring. All CIDs are getting to the stage of being tempremental. New LCD is around £130 last time I looked.
NCDC with a GID should be reasonably readily available at around the same price, and would be plug and play, although the CDC3 may be on its last legs (as will Nav slot, but laser replacable in that)

Was thinking GID, might replace the NCDC, for some reason on 'cold start' it can take around 90 seconds for the unit to work :-\
-
Loads of 3.2 Estates where I live, with GID's, CiD's Telematic's, take your pick, how many do you want. ;)

Mine will barely play anything in any slot now (pressed CDs, not burnt) .. which is getting on my wick something chronic with no radio to go back to (after someone broke the aerial :-[)
