Was white offered as a retail colour on Omegas or was it only used on police vehicle?I'm thinking here of F/L estates in particular as one of these has now become quite a regular sight going along our street and I'm just curious is all.Not had a close enough sighting of it to know engine size/spec etc.

Yes, was readily available :y That's not to say anyone actually bought one though ;D
Any sign of the reg? WA OH OU OX OY VK VF are all likely ex plod as are any London, Scotland and Lincolnshire registered ones...

Must admit Ive never seen a FL Mig in White other than Ex iPlod, quiet a few of the PFL around in White back in the 90's when White was an 'in' colour before we all down the Black, Silver, Blue, Red route.
Did see a FL GLS Estate in Yellow once, stood out like a sore thump, please tell me someone resprayed it, rather than someone ordering it in that colour. :'(

Not had chance to see reg.number yet,but will try next time I see it.Seems to stand a chance of being ex-plod if Lincolnshire registered them being what seems to be a local car, although could have been bought anywhere of course.

there was a '52' reg on the bay of e 2 weeks ago and the seller did say it was not ex plod...and when I looked at it he did have copies of all the old v5's and all names (2 of them were private addresses)so they are around but very rare

Currently a white 2.5td facelift gls saloon on ebay/autotrader that was never plod :y but I know Lincolnshire definitely used Omegas, as my clutch came from Charles Warner nos as they used to service them so kept stock of alot of 3.2 wear and tear bits :y

There are 2 or 3 silver ones,1 in a dark purple colour[similar to Fords Dark Aubergine] and a P/F/L in dark green round here,it's just that I don't recall seeing any but plod cars in white.Possibly need to pay more attention? Or get a life!!

White was available on retail units. Jcb bought some as reps cars. Also there are other government depts that procured GM products :)
