Title: Front suspension
Post by: Shackeng on 08 June 2014, 19:36:32
I noticed when going fairly slowly over some speed humps in the 3.2 this week, a light knocking/rattle from the front suspension.  This seemed to occur as the wheels were falling on the downside of the humps, I have polys fitted on the front. Is this likely to be droplinks?

Easy to check. Car on reasonably level ground, as parked will do. Reach under and grab the roll bar as close to the drop link as possible. Pull/push up and down vertically on the roll bar, you'll feel any play in hand.

Ps, absolutely will not work if one side of the car is jacked or heavily loaded, as the roll bar will be under tension and you'll never over come the tension by hand.

Car/wheels must be level. :)

Ta, I'll try that. I've got a new set anyway if required. :y
