That'll polish out. :y

And I thought Audis were bad for that :o
-
The Pole mightn't be too happy with you either. And you'd get blood all over the car wash bay...
-
They're Opel's. How is that any comparison to a Vauxhall??

I'm glad you've asked that .......... I couldn't decide if he was serious either ??? ???

And your Vauxhall Omega is made where?

Must admit I was a bit shocked myself, wouldn't take much for someone to spin sideways and hit a tree or something at 60 mph.
-
For the sake of clarity, if it was a serious question...
Every single Vauxhall and Opel Omega, Cadillac Catera, and Chevrolet Omega (for Arabia/Aisa/Nz) was built at the General Motors owned Opel factory in Russelheim, Germany.
It's about 10 miles southwest of Frankfurt, if you want to Google it... :y
-
Vauxhall is the UK only brand of General Motors Europe, aka Opel.
-
It wasn't a serious question. I doubt any Vauxhall owner wouldn't know the Vauxhall / Opel link. Even my wife does!

I nearly worried...

Do the same with pretty much ANY vehicle and I would expect you will see the same result

Even a Vauxhall? :P

I'm not sure I understand the sense in crash testing vehicles at 60 MPH. Hit something solid at that speed and it won't be survivable no matter what angle the car is at.
If you could engineer a car rigid enough to retain its' structure under such duress the human body inside would be subjected to G forces that would cause fatal injury anyway.

Much like the test 5th Gear did years ago with the Smart car - 70mph into a concrete barrier at a 45º angle.. the car was fine (well, the superstructure was - the plastic disintegrated), but stopped so fast that the internal organs of any occupant would be mush..
Of course, sometimes, no amount of crash structure will save you: http://www.wreckedexotics.com/newphotos/bad/bada013.jpg

Who would have thought that any of those cars would have turned out to be rubbish? ;D
I particularly like the Metro Rover 100, where the airbag deployed but by the time the driver's head came anywhere near it the steering column had moved sideways so he still clouted the rim of the steering wheel.

A friend of mine lost his life to a HGV accident. In fact, I think there were 3 cars in front of the lorry in which nobody survived. :'(

Surprised to see a Saab and as for the two pick ups, well that's enough to make you think twice about buying one :o

Worrying as that is, what do you honestly expect from a small car made from tin foil :-\
The question you should be asking is do Smart crash test the ForTwo on its back for secondary impact survival :-X

To be fair I doubt in an accident like that, it doesn't really matter what you're in

You're right. I keep hinting at her to get something newer/nicer ...... but she likes her Fiat :-\
-
Just be thankful that it's not a Gwiz :y
At the end of the day, the only way to be perfectly safe would be to buy a tank, and clearly that might be a bit more of a compromise than a small hatchback...

Frightening, a not so invincible steel box. :(
