Title: Finding paint ?
Post by: omega3000 on 17 June 2014, 08:25:00
Struggling to find spray paint Z489 , guess it will be Vauxhall only unless anyone can recommend somewhere to get some  :( Thats for a touch up .
How much do we reckon a rear bumper would cost to spray from a body shop  :-\

Had a small body shop do a brand new bumper for me a couple of years back when someone kindly hit it, luckily no other damage, think I paid £300 inc the parking sensors, the paint matched perfect as well though mine is Moonland a grey colour. Still looks good now.

Not bad i suppose , the bumper will be off the car and already primed though  :y

Mine was primmed though they fitted it, got another quote but that was over £500.00. Paint spraying isn't cheap, can't you get a used one already in the correct colour?

I've put x2 bumpers in for repair and or paint with my bodyshop for members
One was £50 for a front prodrive MV6 bumper full respray
The other was £200 or £250 for substantial repair and respray to a facelift Irmscher front bumper

Can he do it with bumpers in place? Tempted at that price to get the 2.2's bumpers looking good again.  8)

Ohh and check your voicemail  :)  :y

I know that we all laugh at halfrauds...however i have on several occasions brought paint from them in spray cans that they have made it up for me as although they list it on their general charts some are made up to order while you wait and they have been a perfect match and the outcome was good  :y

Old bumper is off , one screw that decided it wasnt going to come out  >:( Going to try and repair the bumper rather than bin it  :)

Used a heat gun on the deformed black trim to reshape it .. turned out ok  :) Just a few deep scratches to rub down and nearside corner bodywork to rub down as its had a layer of filler  :y

Local car spares place have ordered me some Z489  :y

edit  :P
